In a recent DealerRefresh exclusive brief interview with Keith Latman of President - CoFounder of iCar, Keith says he's letting go and can no longer deny his Gangsta Roots.
How will his coming out effect his company, iCar?
We sat down with Keith to get his side of coming out Gangsta and still trying to maintain his position as President of iCar. Here was the outcome;
DealerRefresh: Keith, you are on the verge of 2.0 with iCarMagic. How has allowing your Gangsta roots resurface effect the overall outcome of iCar 2.0 CRM Software?
Keith: "That's level four right there," Keith said while sitting in the backseat of his Benz, en route to LA's Crystal Night Club. "It's bulletproof and bombproof, jus like my iCar. "Bombproof," Keith said again with a chuckle. "The president be riding around in sh-- like this, and my iCar will be the next CRM all the Manofactorres be using including Benz - beotch."
DealerRefresh: Can you separate the time for relaxing from being President of iCar?
Keith: Not really. The other playas like Autobase, eLead and AVV used to have a hold in this biz, I gotsa keep it real and make sure my shit is fly. So when I'm home relaxing, or on the computer IMing my beotches, I gots 2.0 swimming in my head 24/7 you know. For me, I'm trying to...without working at the pace I'm working at, I can't progress at the pace I'm progressing at.
DealerRefresh: Are you out trying to relax sometimes, though, and you come up with something hot and you can't wait, so you have to go implement it?
Keith: Yeahshizzle that
DealerRefresh: What about the people who do say, or will say, that you glorify the Gangsta style in your CRM software, using gangsta icons to symbolize customers, for intense; golden teeth caps for "Buy here Pay here" clients?![]()

Keith: It's just keepn it real. I aint sayn I'm glorify that lifestyle. Y’ know? ‘Cuz the people who do it feel that they have no choice.
DealerRefresh: I feel that. Okay, it’s been said that you are the most anticipated CEO of such a progressive company. Is that a lot of pressure?
Keith: No, not really. The anticipation comes from all over. Everyone has been listening to me for two years now, and it’s been consistent, good product. Now their imagination is saying, “I wonder what he’ll do in 2.0” being that we have the best CRM in the game. Consistency is the key to all success. Aight!
"All I know is that ADP and Rey betta watch da back cause I'aint playn no mo. 2.0!"
Following the interview, Keith has asked us to call him by his new name; G-Lat.
